How might we communicate a food recall to advise the public?
ABOUT THIS MODULE
Romaine lettuce! Cheese! Chicken Strips! These are some of the recent food recalls in Canada. Food safety is more than knowing how to handle and cook food properly at home. The public relies on companies, and anyone who handles our food as it travels through the food systems, to use safe food practice. This doesn’t always happen and sometimes food becomes contaminated. This is when a food recall happens.
In this module you will explore the factors and organizations that control food recalls and design a Public Service Announcement (PSA), advising the public of a recent food recall.
