3: PLAN & CREATE

ACTIVITY

 

Using the information you have gathered from sections 1 and 2, devise a plan for your Public Service Announcement.  

  1. Use the space in the workbook to organize your thoughts. If you would like to draw by hand, brainstorm using paper, feel free to do so and import photos of your brainstorm/ideas to the workbook.

    1. Consider how are you going to include all the information you researched including the 12 pieces of information that must be on a food recall?

    2. Consider what format are you going to use (video, poster/collage, infographic, etc…?)

    3. Consider what images and layout you are going to use.

    4. Identify what skills you need to complete this assignment and what technology you may require. Are these new technologies for you? Are you using a communication method you are familiar with?

    5. Prioritize your next steps - what needs to be done first?  How long will this take you? What materials will you need to gather?

  2. After you have taken the time to chart out your initial thoughts for your PSA, briefly describe your design in the space provided, perhaps including a rough sketch of your plans. You will carry out your designs in the next section.

  3. Complete the single-point rubric for this section.
