ACTIVITY

In this section you will plan your upcycled design!

1. Open the workbook for this section. You will see a space for planning and sketching your upcycled design.

2. In the spaces provided, complete the plans for your design:

   1. Sketch your original textile item(s). Sketch how you envision the textile item(s) looking once you are done.

   2. How will you get there? List and draw the steps (in the style of a visual step-by-step tutorial) that you will need to take to complete your project.

   3. What skills/techniques will you need to learn in order to create your finished project? For example, will you need to learn how to draft a pattern, make buttonholes, insert elastic, etc…?

   4. Identify and list fabric supplies and notions (such as extra garments/textiles/embellishments) and tools and equipment needed to complete your redesigned project. Do you have access to these tools and equipment? If not, what are alternatives you can consider?

3. Complete the single-point rubric found at the bottom of this week’s section workbook.
