2: PLAN & CREATE

Now that we have investigated the significance of the starter pack meme (and memes in general) as a way to communicate the human experience, it is time for you to identify and plan your meme!

  1. Open the workbook for this week. You will find a copy of a planning template for this section based on the following steps:

    1. First, decide on the topic for your starter pack based on a recent experience. See a list of possible ideas and suggestions at the bottom of this page. Reminder: keep it school-appropriate!

    2. Second, identify what items could be part of your “starter pack.” From your ideas, select about four to six items that will be used in your meme.

    3. Third, compose a rationale (description of why you have chosen the topic, why you have identified the particular items for your meme, and how the overall meme communicates an experience from your life - you may write a story or anecdote from an experience)

  2. Complete the single-point rubric for this section at the end of your workbook.
