4: ANALYZE & REFLECT
ACTIVITY
In the first three sections of this module, you had the opportunity to understand different textiles and their requirements for laundering. You identified universal symbols for laundry care, sorted laundry in your home, and even did a full load of laundry!
Open the materials for this week. Respond to the final questions for this module:
1. Explain some of the issues you faced when planning to do the laundry for your family.
2. How were you able to solve the issues you faced?
3. If you had to do the laundry again, what would you do differently to make the process easier? Consider your own reflections and feedback from (a) member(s) of your household.
4. If you had to explain to someone what skills, knowledge and/or tools you need to do the laundry, what would you tell them?
5. Were there other resources that you found to make it easier to understand proper care for clothing and textiles?
6. What is a skill that you did well? What is a skill that you need to work on?
7. Care instructions are not a requirement for clothing labels in Canada. Do you believe that should be? Fully explain your response.
Complete the single-point rubric found in the lesson materials.
